A co-educational day and boarding school, teaching children aged 3 to 18 with strong Catholic values and ethos. Founded in 1847 by the Rosminian Fathers, Ratcliffe is steeped in history and tradition. Surrounded by 200 acres of beautiful grounds situated in Leicestershire. Ratcliffe is inclusive of all with a real sense of community, offering exceptional teaching and outstanding pastoral care with small class sizes.
Boarding at Ratcliffe allows students to take advantage of an extended day, ensuring your child can enjoy the extraordinary breadth of co-curricular activities we have on offer too. Here at Ratcliffe College we focus on the whole child and encourage our children to “think big” both inside and outside of the classroom.
Ratcliffe is very proud of the A-level results achieved in 2022, with 97% of all grades being A*-C and 53% achieving A*/A, with a pass rate of 99.5%. Typically, 90% of our students move onto their first choice of university, with a clear majority of students winning places at Russell Group universities, including Oxbridge. Ratcliffe College is proud to be in the top 1% in the country for value added at A Level. This means that our students attain significantly higher grades than predicted, thanks to a winning combination of excellent teaching, small class sizes and recently upgraded facilities.
Ratcliffe College has been judged ‘Excellent’ in all areas following our recent Focused Compliance and Education Quality Inspection in May 2022.
