CISC, in partnership with EducareM and the Catholic Education Service, is pleased to offer a range of formational programmes for colleagues at different stages of their careers in Catholic education.
CISC collaborates with EducareM and the National School of Formation on the following programmes:
- Tabor Programme – Middle and Senior Leaders
- Christ the Teacher – Leaders and Experienced Governors
- Educarem and CISC programme for authentic Governance Foundation
CISC collaborates with the CES on their Formatio Programme for Executive Leadership.
Tabor Programme
Tabor ProgrammeTalking of new beginnings, the CISC leadership formation programme ‘Tabor’ is now registering expressions of interest for the academic year 2024-2025. Devised in collaboration with EducareM and targeted at middle and senior leaders, the Tabor programme is designed to show how gospel values and the principles of Catholic social Teaching inform school leadership practically, personally and professionally. Rooted in the authentic mission of the church in education, the programme includes visits to schools and online reflection groups to underpin learning and promote reflective leadership between the two residential opportunities.
Residential 1: Thursday 17th – Friday 18th October 2024
Residential 2: Thursday 19th – Friday 20th June 2025

Christ the Teacher – Leaders and experienced Governors
The Christ the Teacher programme is designed for serving headteachers and governors, aiming to ‘kindle the fire’ and promote a renewed confidence and sense of mission for leaders in Catholic schools. It is open to all Headteachers, of any denomination, and is a unique and innovative journey of professional and personal formation.

EducareM programme for authentic Governance Formation
Promoting and enabling clear vision, authentic ethos and mission focused strategic direction.
The programme is online and delivered over 3 sessions, with each comprising of a keynote presentation, facilitated structured conversation and feedback.
Governance Formation and Training

Dates for academic year 2024-25 will be released shortly.
Cost: £100 for all 3 sessions or £40 per session (for all staff and governors)
In addition to these programmes of formation there is also the Annual Headteachers’ National Retreat, designed to nourish, strengthen and support the spiritual wellbeing of Headteachers and governors.

Formatio
Formatio is aimed at those leading, or aspiring to lead, two to four Catholic schools with a focus on faith formation and professional development in the context of the relatively new and evolving role of executive leadership.
It features input from experienced executive headteachers, area specialists and other stakeholders.
The programme is held at the beautiful Stanbrook Abbey Hotel, Worcester, the home to the Second English Benedictine Congregation of Nuns from 1838 to 2009.
The total cost of the programme is £800 per delegate.
