Leweston Prep Ramble to Raise Funds for Children in Need
Pupils at Leweston Prep School, Sherborne, ditched their uniforms and donned an array of colourful, dotty outfits to raise money for Children in Need. The pupils from Nursery to Year 6 at Leweston Prep went to School in their spots and stripes paying a £1 donation for the charity.
They started the day by joining the Big Morning Move with Joe Wicks, working up an appetite ready for the break time bake sale. Thank you to all the pupils who polished their culinary and creative skills at home baking Pudsey inspired cakes.
In the afternoon the pupils covered their spots with warm coats, scarves and wellies ready for their 3 ½ mile ramble through the school grounds and public footpaths. Joined by family and friends this was a fantastic effort from everyone who managed to raise over £326 as a result.
The children had a fantastic day and were thrilled to raise funds for such an important cause. Charitable Giving Programmes lie at the heart of what Leweston is about. Being able to support both local and global communities by giving time and funds is an important part of understanding the world better.
