Founder’s Day Celebrations
Tree planting ceremony with the current headmaster, Michael Connolly and two previous heads, along with former parent Rt Hon Anne Milton MP followed by Mass with Bishop Richard Moth rounds off Cranmore School’s 50th year celebrations.
Our year of events to celebrate 50 years since the founding of the school was rounded off with a wonderful Mass celebrated by Bishop Richard Moth attended by the whole school community, invited guests and over 70 former staff.
Our celebrations had got off to a great start at the beginning of this academic year with a gold, yellow or orange non-uniform day and the wholeschool community entered into the spirit of the day. We then had a musicathon, 50 hours of sponsored music practice, followed by a staff pantomime and a whole school picnic. Sailing on the Queen’s Row Barge Gloriana, escorted by our rowers in their flotilla, was a highlight of the summer term as well as a tree planting ceremony attended by 2 former Headmasters Kevin Cheney & Tony Martin and a former parent, Rt Hon MP Anne Milton.
Founded by Canon Peter Freed in 1968 our school continues to be a community where each individual matters and children develop a long-lasting love for learning.
