Thornton College hosts Year 6 Celebration Day
On Tuesday 22nd September, Thornton College played host to Year 6 pupils from Milton Keynes Catholic Liaison Primary Schools. Boys and girls from St Mary Magdalene, Bishop Parker, St Monica’s and St Bernadette’s joined Thornton’s Year 6s for a day-long celebration to mark their final year as Juniors.
Thornton College Acting Deputy Head Juniors Mrs Darwin said: ‘Remember to make the most of your last year as a Junior, this is the beginning of the next stage of your life,’ as she invited the 200-strong group to enjoy a day of fun and laughter.
Pupils broke down barriers with team-building games before making prayer cards and hymn practise. The day culminated in a special Mass in the school’s Chapel led by Father Brendan Killeen, parish priest for Towcester and Northampton.
